MagyarOK Speaking Workshop – Model-Based Conversations

Would you like to speak Hungarian more confidently, but traditional conversation classes haven't brought the breakthrough you were hoping for?

The MagyarOK Speaking Workshop is an online, small-group mini-course where you can build your speaking skills consciously and step by step using the Model-Based Language Learning approach.

How does it work?

Each session focuses on a specific topic and language level. Before the session, you receive a short reading and model sentences that provide useful support for speaking.

You don't have to improvise “from scratch” – the models help you express yourself in natural, useful sentences.

During the session, you first get familiar with the models, then practise them and use them to create your own sentences. In this way, Model-Based Language Learning becomes not just a method to learn about, but a practical tool you can actually use.

How is it different from a traditional conversation class?

• we don't simply talk about a topic – we consciously build up your ability to express yourself

• the focus is not on grammar rules, but on useful, authentic language

• model sentences provide support for creating your own sentences

• the conversations are structured and purposeful – not just spontaneous “chatting”

• you can immediately apply the language patterns you have practised in your own communication

The goal is not simply to talk more during your Hungarian lessons, but to help you speak Hungarian more easily, naturally and confidently.

Choose the session that suits you!

Each Speaking Workshop session is an independent mini-course. You don't have to commit to a multi-week course – you can register for each session separately.

Choose according to:

• time – from several sessions offered during the week

• topic – from a range of interesting, everyday communication topics

• language level – according to the level announced for each session

This way, you can always choose a session that fits your goals and availability.

A great addition to your current learning

The MagyarOK Speaking Workshop can be a great complement to your private Hungarian lessons or other language courses.

If you already have a private teacher or attend another Hungarian course, the Speaking Workshop gives you an additional opportunity to practise speaking regularly, put newly learned language patterns into practice, and use Hungarian actively in a variety of topics.

You don't have to choose between your existing lessons and the Speaking Workshop – they can work together to support your progress.

🗣️ Current Available Times (Hungarian Time!)

Choose the time that works best for you!

• Wednesday 2:00–3:00 pm

• Wednesday 7:00–8:00 pm – “A” time slot

• Friday 8:00–9:00 pm – “B” time slot

Szombat 4:00-6:00 pm

💡 The “A” and “B” time slots are the same workshop, with the same topic and content – you simply choose the time that suits you best!

The topic and language level may vary from week to week. When you select a workshop in the webshop, click on the “i” icon to find the detailed information about that particular session, including the topic, language level and all the important details.
