One-day intensive courses
Start speaking Hungarian with ease!
Natural Language Use – One-Day Model-Based Workshop
Would you like to speak Hungarian more fluently, but find that grammar rules and words don’t come to mind when you start talking?
This workshop helps you turn your existing language knowledge into something you can actually use with ease.
Learn with model sentences – not grammar lists
Model-based language learning focuses on working with ready-to-use sentences and texts, rather than memorising isolated grammar rules and vocabulary.
This allows the structure, rhythm and logic of the language to settle in naturally, leading to noticeably faster progress – especially in speaking.
Not just “knowing” the language – but using it
The workshop guides you through a complete, carefully built learning cycle:
understanding a model text
collecting useful model sentences
practising typical expressions and grammatical structures
creating your own text based on models
activating the new material in spoken communication
The goal is to get you speaking – and to do so naturally.
Speaking-focused, real communication
Each session is built around a well-defined topic. New language components are practised orally right away and gradually automatised, so your language use becomes increasingly natural and confident.

Planning Ahead: In the World of Goals and Dreams (B1–B2)
Would you like to finally put into words in Hungarian what you are planning for next year – and not just say “we’ll see how it goes”? This workshop is designed for learners at B1–B2 level who would like to talk about their future plans more consciously, precisely, and confidently.
The focus of the workshop is year planning and the linguistic expression of future intentions. Through an informative text, we explore how to plan and think through an entire year: with goals, plans, flexible ideas – and a touch of realism. This topic provides an excellent opportunity to practise the future tense and the imperative in a natural context, linked to real communicative functions.
During the session, we also create a bucket list, formulating what we would like to achieve, try out, or perhaps postpone for a little later. Of course, there is plenty of discussion along the way: about plans, decisions, ambitions, and the difference between what would be “nice someday” and what is “finally due now”.
The aim of the workshop is for you to be able to talk about the future in Hungarian easily and naturally – not only with grammatical accuracy, but with real content. Along the way, you will also become familiar with the strategic steps of model-based language learning, supporting a more effective learning process.
If you enjoy planning (or would like to learn how), and you are happy to practise Hungarian through conversation, this workshop is for you.

This workshop is designed for learners who have reached upper-elementary or intermediate level (B1–B2) and would like to further develop their language skills through real, live communication.
The focus of the workshop is Hungarian holidays and cultural events, approached in a way that goes beyond traditional textbook descriptions. We read texts based on real experiences and personal stories of Hungarian speakers, bringing the atmosphere and meaning of these celebrations closer to everyday Hungarian life. Participants share their thoughts and experiences, and we discuss together what these holidays represent in contemporary Hungarian culture.
The workshop focuses in particular on:
the Easter holiday period,
and, as a summer preview, 20 August, the celebration of the foundation of the Hungarian state.
The texts we work with deliberately include the natural language patterns, typical expressions, and more complex grammatical structures expected at B1–B2 level, which we practise step by step and actively put into use.
The workshop guides you through a complete learning cycle:
interpreting and analysing model texts,
collecting model sentences and useful language patterns,
practising typical expressions and grammatical structures,
producing your own texts based on models,
actively using the new material in spoken communication.
The sessions are speech-focused, with an emphasis on real communication. We read texts, listen to audio materials—such as podcasts—and then build conversations around them. With the help of model sentences, we consciously activate and consolidate language knowledge.
The aim of the workshop is for you to speak Hungarian naturally, fluently, and with cultural authenticity, while experiencing Hungarian holidays in an engaging and meaningful way. The workshop is especially recommended for those preparing for the Hungarian Cultural Knowledge Examination.

Hungarian Summer Foods – Fun and Fluent Speaking (B1–B2)
Would you like to improve your Hungarian while discovering why the question “Have you had lecsó yet?” is so important in summer? This workshop is designed for learners at B1–B2 level who want not only to study Hungarian, but also to speak more freely in an enjoyable, immersive way.
The workshop focuses on Hungarian summer foods. We explore what Hungarians like to eat in summer – from ice cream to refreshing fruit soups, all the way to lecsó, about which everyone has an opinion. We read informational texts and also examine native speakers’ personal remarks, memories, and light debates, giving insight into the everyday side of Hungarian gastronomy. The emphasis is not only on the food itself, but also on natural language use.
The learning process also includes understanding recipes: how a recipe is structured, what phrases like “to taste” really mean, and which expressions are commonly used in a Hungarian kitchen. You don’t need to know how to cook to participate – it’s enough to enjoy food and to talk about why ice cream is one of summer’s most important inventions.
